Ernst Freiherr Stromer von Reichenbach (12 June 1871 - 18 December 1952), or simply Ernst Stromer, was a German paleontologist.
He is best remembered for his expeditions to Egypt, where he found the first fossils of "Spinosaurus".
He also discovered the following Cretaceous dinosaurs in Egypt:
"Aegyptosaurus", "Bahariasaurus, Carcharodontosaurus," and the most famous of them all, "Spinosaurus.
" He also discovered a large crocodilian, "Stomatosuchus".
The majority of his fossil discoveries were destroyed in a bombing raid in Munich in World War II.
