Microsoft Entra or Entra for short is a software by Microsoft that lets users use authentication and authorization services to various Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Azure systems and third-party services.
This lets users use single sign-on experiences no matter the cause of the application.

History.

Entra used to be named Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
This software was the same as Entra is today.

Applications.

Microsoft allows users to sign into products like "Gmail", web apps and use systems to add "SSO" (Single Sign On) to their websites and other products.
