Statutory Sick Pay

Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) is a Social Security benefit in the United Kingdom.
It was started in 1983.
It is paid by employers to their employees when they are off work because of sickness for more than 3 days at a time.
It is £99.
35 per week in 2023.
It can be paid for up to 28 weeks.
After that a sick person may get Employment and Support Allowance.

It is not paid to:

People may get Universal Credit at the same time.
