In late 1979, American band The Spinners covered "Working My Way Back to You" with Michael Zager single "Forgive Me Girl".
It went to number 1 in the United Kingdom and Ireland, number 2 in the United States and the Netherlands, number 12 in Australia, number 5 in Canada and number 3 in New Zealand.
It was covered by Boyzone as their debut single in 1994.
